Fancy Food Show and Valentine’s Day
Dear Granola Friends
It’s cold and crisp here in sunny East Blue Hill and the house is quiet! Sam is at a rehearsal for the community theatre’s Fiddler on the Roof – he is playing his usual role of “scruffy boy” (Oliver, Music Man etc), Clifton is doing outside Saturday things with the truck, pigs, trash etc. Joseph is being an exemplary granola elf (although sometimes I wish he would turn the jazz down a bit) and I am just back from San Francisco.
I always love the Fancy Food Show and we had a fabulous time. The weather was terrible until the minute the show ended when the rain stopped and the drought was declared (by me!) over. The sun was great and we had a quick vacation – a beach day, a winery day and a city day. The only sadness was the rental car was broken into and bags stolen. Sorting it out is a nightmare. But my girlfriends and I had a really wonderful time and I am so grateful to them for their work at the show.
Valentine’s Day is here and we are making any parcels you want. There is toffee in bars and crumbles. Naughty Chocolate Cherry Granola, and our chocolate trail mixes. Want them all? Get our sweetheart bundle. We have everything you need for happy, healthy, Valentine treats. Send something to your sweetheart or to loved ones far from home to tell them you are thinking about them. Order by 9AM EST on Saturday the 11th.
We will wrap tissue and cards with your messages and include a bag of three large home made, heart shaped gingerbread and toffee cookies to go with every special order. Let’s send them to your people far and wide – order soon so we know how many batches of cookies to make.
I will continue to send 50c/bag to the Locker Project in Portland for local hungry children (it’s so terrible that in the US in 2017 we have this issue to deal with – the wealthiest country in the world). So order away and find some joy in a lovely crispy cold weekend.
Be in touch.
Lucy
